Call for Applications: Oxford Africa Policy Innovation Blueprint Competition 2026

As part of the Oxford Africa Conference 2026, a flagship policy competition is being launched in partnership with the Club of Rome.

What if your idea could influence policy across Africa?

The Oxford Africa Policy Innovation Blueprint Competition 2026 is more than just a contest — it is a platform for young Africans to rethink systems, challenge institutions, and propose practical solutions that truly work.

We are seeking bold, well-grounded policy ideas that address real institutional challenges across the continent, bridging the gap between top-down design and lived realities.

What You’ll Do

Develop a Policy Innovation Blueprint (maximum 2,500 words) focused on adaptive, systems-level solutions in areas such as:

• Governance
• Economic development
• Energy
• Technology
• And more

What’s at Stake

• Paid internship with the Club of Rome (Earth4All initiative)
• Opportunity to present your work live at the Oxford Africa Conference 2026
• Chance to develop your idea into a globally distributed policy brief

Who Can Apply

• African students worldwide
• Young professionals under the age of 30

Selected Participants Will:

• Secure a paid remote internship with the Club of Rome (Earth4All initiative)
• Participate in an internship running from September to December (£1,200/month)
• Present at the Oxford Africa Conference 2026
• Contribute to a global policy brief
